Narcis: The Benefits and Risks of Narcissism in Leadership

Narcis Prince (ナルシスプリンス Narushisu Purinsu) made his only appearance in the SNES version of Super Punch-Out!! as the first boxer in the Special Circuit. He is a vain British ivy-leaguer. His name is a play on narcissist, and he is one of two boxers in the game to not have a palette swap (the other being Hoy Quarlow) and three overall (the third being King Hippo).

Nat. (Ph.D.) degree from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, in 1986 for work performed at the Max-Planck-Institut für Festkörperforschung. After a postdoctoral position at the University of Michigan (USA), he held an associate professor position at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain). He moved to the Materials Science Institut of the Spanish Research Council (ICMAB-CSIC) in Barcelona in 1993, where he holds a scientific researcher position. He is author or coauthor of more than 200 papers in international journals with more than 3000 citations, co-inventor of 2 patents on chemical solution growth of nanostructured superconducting REBa2Cu3O7 materials, and has been advisor of 11 Ph. D. in Physics and Materials Science. Research interestMy research is focused on the synthesis of advanced materials with controlled microstructure and the search for the comprehension of the physical mechanisms underlying their functional properties. I have addressed the growth and study of thin films and nanostructures of functional oxides with potential impact in electronics, energy saving and environmental science.
