While in Tel Aviv, John Moore first rendered this cityscape as a painting. After he returned to the United States, he remade the image as this black-and-white etching, titled TA. Three BU faculty who are also well-known printmakers are donating etchings to the show. John Moore, SFA professor and realist painter, is contributing TA (an abbreviation for Tel Aviv), from a cityscape he created while in Israel. When he returned to the United States, he decided to remake the painted image as an etching. "I liked the image and wanted to see how it would look in black-and-white," Moore says. TA is one of 20 in the first edition run -- and chances are that there will not be a second run using the plate as it is now. "I'll probably rework the plate before the next printing," he says.
